While there wasn’t a lot of action in the sports world on Wednesday, the same can not be said for today’s events. Before we get to today’s events, let’s take a look at how the Indians and Reds did yesterday.

The Cleveland Indians beat the Minnesota Twins in dramatic fashion last night, winning 5-2 thanks to a 3-run home run, walk-off style from Francisco Lindor. The Twins entered the 9th inning trailing 2-1, but Miguel Sano hit a solo shot off of Cody Miller to tie the game. While Sano’s home run got the Twins fired up, it was only to be outdone by Frankie’s game winner. The Indians are now 63-50 on the season.

The Cincinnati Reds were not so hot yesterday, in fact you could say they were ice cold. The New York Mets took the Reds behind the woodshed for an 8-0 beating. Jacob DeGrom pitched 6 innings for the Mets, striking out 10 batters without allowing a run. The Reds went 0-5 with runners in scoring position, and got caught stealing twice. Cincinnati is now 50-65 on the season.

The Top Play of the Day comes from the bat of Francisco Lindor, and Hammy’s call of the walk-off. Enjoy.

In today’s action, there are 12 NFL Preseason games being played! The Cleveland Browns and New York Giants will be nationally televised at 7:00pm, and the Dallas Cowboys will take on the San Francisco 49ers afterwards. Here is a list of all the games being played tonight.

The PGA Championship also begins today at Bellerive Country Club in St. Louis, Missouri. The biggest names in golf are in Missouri for the final major of the season. It’s supposed to be ridiculously hot all week for the guys, so it should be quite the challenge for the world’s best.
